Roles and Responsibilities

  • Attends requirements related sessions as needed 
  • Creates or provides input to the Test plan for a project 
  • Read and understand project documents, flowcharts, wireframes or functional design documents to understand project scope and requirements 
  • Reviews requirements or user stories, and logs queries as needed 
  • Creates test cases according to the test plan. These would address various scenarios including positive flow, alternate flows, negative cases, boundary/extreme conditions, and investigative cases 
  • Works closely with the development team to review implementation, and provide feedback from a testing perspective. This will nourish a "code-to-test" type culture 
  • Execute the test cases defined, as and when the application with appropriate functionality is made available.  The test execution can be manual or using specialized automation tools, depending on the need of the project 
  • Logs issues/bugs found during the execution of test cases, in the appropriate bug/issue tracking tool identified for the project 
  • Re-test and verify that the bugs/issues are fixed 
  • Works closely with the client's QA/project team, as required by the project 
  • Works closely with Offshore developers and Offshore QA team, as required on the project 
  • Travel to the client site as required.  
  • Achieves published company utilization targets. 
  • Utilizes analyzing skills to understand the requirements and pose queries 
  • Translates the customer's needs into test cases
  • Ensures that the deliverables meet customer's requirements/needs

Required Skills & Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical or Business related area or equivalent combination of similar education and experience 
  • Brings 5+ years experience with QA & Testing of custom software solutions, with at least 2+ year experience with an automated tool like Selenium or QTP or SILK or LoadRunner 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and awareness of Salesforce DX 
  • Preference for previous experience testing Salesforce, however, testing other CRM software (Siebel, Clarify, Vantive, Peoplesoft, NetSuite, etc.) will be considered, 
  • Messaging software (Google, Exchange, Lotus Notes), or Financial/HR software (Workday, Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.)  
  • Experience in working with Scrum/Agile methodology 
  • Experience of Salesforce Lightning/LW/Vlocity implementations (preferred) 
  • Previous experience and knowledge in the energy industry is desirable 
  • Confident with presentation and communication skills  
  • Fluent in English  
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within country and internationally
